APexams
What are AP courses?
AP courses offer high school students the opportunity to participate in college-level courses while still in high school. By taking the AP exams at the end of the course, students have the opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at many colleges and universities.
Why would I take an AP course?
There are several reasons to take an AP course:
- To get a head start on college-level class work
- To strengthen your academic record and show your willingness to accept an intellectual challenge
- To study a subject in greater detail than is otherwise possible in a high school setting
- To improve your reading, writing, and problem solving skills
How do I sign up for an AP course?
Talk to an AP teacher at your school to find out if you meet the necessary requirements to take the course and find out what preparation, if any, you might need.
